The future of planning

A short while ago I figured out how to record the voice over to Slideshare presentations. This a good thing as my slides never make the slightest bit of sense without the narrative that goes with them. And to test it out I used a presentation I gave at the APG’s first Noisy Thinking Debate. Adam Morgan, Cameron Saunders (the UK MD of Fox Films) and I were asked to talk about where the future of planning lay – in consultancies, client side or in agencies. I naturally banged on about agencies being the natural habitat of planners in the wild and my despair at the self flagellation habit of our industry, plus some ‘notes to selves’ about where and how we need to improve.
