Richard Huntington

I am a planner by trade and the Director of Strategy for Saatchi & Saatchi in the UK. I was also the former planning director of both HHCL and United London.

Before joining HHCL in 1997 I put in time at both AMV.BBDO and the direct marketing agency BHWG (now Proximity). Over the years I have made rodeo sexy, produced food porn for Diet Tango, helped men confront their fear of the phone, got the frozen retailer Iceland to care about food issues and had my last Tango ad banned for encouraging bullying. More recently I was busy making Sky more appealing to digital refusniks and doing serious harm to the ad industry by popularising their DVR, Sky+.

I am on the management committee of the Account Planning Group in the UK and the Chair of Judges for the APG Creative Strategy Awards as well as being a member of the IPA Strategy Group. I also write a monthly column on advertising for New Media Age here in the UK.
